The Wine: Orange 2019 Bodegas Cueva Orange 2018 is a skin contact natural wine made from a blend of Tardana and Macabeo varietals grown in Utiel-Requena region, Spain. Bodegas Cueva is a certified organic winery and production follows a low-intervention natural approach. Orange is crisp and zesty with citrus, cedar fruit, and almond. The Producer: Bodegas Cueva In the village of La Portera, located in the Utiel-Requena region of Valencia, Bodega Cueva dates back to the 18th century, and has never known anything but natural winemaking and farming practices. The winemaker and owner Mariano Taberner harvests the oldest vines possible, reds reaching 60 years, and whites 30 years. Bodega Cueva is certified organic, and the wines are always native yeast fermented, unfined, unfiltered, and without added free sulfur.
