The Producer: Château Puech Redon Château Puech Redon wine estate is located in Languedoc-Roussillon, Gard Province, Southern France. The vineyards are south-facing, near the Cévennes foothills; the soil is predominantly clay and limestone. The alternation of Mediterranean warm summer days and cool nights is what makes this terroir unique. At the Château everything is done respecting the environment, according to organic principles in the vineyard and low-intervention winemaking in the cellar. Owner Cyril Cuche is strongly involved in persevering wildlife of the surrounding areas aiming to reduce our environmental footprint. The grapes are harvested by hand, the vinification is carried out with indigenous yeasts, without any addition. The wines are not fined and only lightly filtered at bottling. Sulfites are only used in case of extreme necessity to stabilize and protect the wine. This is an approach that according to Cyril Cuche allows for the full display of this terroir's potential.
